Serious car accident in Sutherland

This evening firefighters from Sutherland, rescue firefighters from Engadine and the Duty Commander responded to a serious car accident on River Road, Sutherland. On arrival fire crews were confronted with a two vehicle accident with people trapped. Rescue firefighters worked to extricate the trapped people while other firefighters set up a fire hose for protection. Two people were extricated and treated by ambulance officers; one person tragically was deceased.
