Building fire in Condell Park

Numerous Triple Zero (000) calls were received this evening to a fire in Eldridge Road, Condell Park. Firefighters from Revesby, Riverwood, Bankstown, Chester Hill, Lakemba, Liverpool, Mortdale, Silverwater, Hazmat specialists from Greenacre and two Duty Commanders responded to the fire. Fire crews were on scene in seven minutes to discover three buildings on fire and using a hydraulic ladder fire engine and several fire hoses, battled for around one and a half hours to contain the blaze. Firefighters remained at the fire throughout the night and into the next day extinguishing pockets of fire underneath collapsed sections of the building. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
