School fire in Campbelltown

Firefighters from Campbelltown, Rosemeadow, St Andrews, Ingleburn, Camden, Macquarie Fields, Horningsea Park, Busby, Hazmat specialists from Greenacre and the Duty Commander responded to numerous Triple Zero (000) calls to a fire in a school in Cordeaux Street, Campbelltown this evening. Fire crews were on scene in four minutes to be confronted with a school building engulfed in flames with the fire rapidly spreading to adjacent classrooms. Firefighters were able to cut the fire off and contain the blaze to the administration block saving the adjoining classrooms. The cause of the fire is under further investigation.
