How do I apply?
When a retained fire station is recruiting, a Fire and Rescue NSW Zone office will advertise a vacancy in the local area and on www.jobs.nsw.gov.au.
To apply follow these steps:
- Determine if you are eligible
- Read our What is a Retained firefighter section
- Most Retained Fire Stations are located in regional and county areas.
- Applications for vacant retained positions can be completed online at www.jobs.nsw.gov.au when the position is advertised.
